Dying for Change |
A recent survey of America's Protestant churches estimates that 85 percent have plateaued or are declining in membership. The rapid and complex changes transforming Western society have left many churches and ministry organizations teetering between ineffectiveness and extinction. They must learn to meet the challenges of the present and upcoming generation quickly.
Leith Anderson has successfully guided his own church through a process of extraordinary growth and change. Out of his experience, research, and presentations has come the material for this book. Dying for Change is not intended to be a simple formula for success. Change is extremely difficult but absolutely necessary.

Beyond Forgiveness - The Healing Touch of Church Discipline |
I just finished reading this book. What astounded me was that a church could confront a moral issue with love, forgiveness and restoration, and it could be done with success. It is a shame that this book is no longer in print because the message of true restoration rather than destruction is one that today's church still needs.

Reckless Faith |
This book is one of the finest books written by Dr. John MacArthur. We live in a day when discernment is ridiculed and as Christians we need not fear using our rational faculties in order to discern Truth from Error. This book is a plea for discernment and a reminder that God's Word is the Christian's foundational Truth. The book has been out of print for several years but if you can get a copy, it is well worth having.

Why Small Groups |
This book is biblically founded and helped me to see the importance(largely from the bible) of having small groups. Accountability, biblical fellowship, speaking into each other's lives is the heart of the church. While small groups cannot take the place of the local church, they are a great context in which to apply the truths we learn in church. I especially liked the part about qualifications of a leader and being motivated by God' grace. Overall, the best book ever written (theologically and practically) on the subject!
