Living With Your Passions |
This book came across my path and said"read me." I have passed this book on to many people. It is not only about sexual passions but passion period. There are many kinds of passions. As human beings we need to realize that even though, at times, we feel we have no control over our desires ultimately we are accountable for our actions. It points out that God-ordained sexual satisfaction can only come when we are spiritually joined to our partner as well as physically. The Steps to Freedom part of the book is excellent as well. I highly recommend this book. It would be a very good book for pastors to read if they council in this area.

| McCulley, Carolyn |
Did I Kiss Marriage goodbye? |
I recently read Carolyn McCulley's book, Did I Kiss Marriage Goodbye? I was pleasantly surprised and inspired by her genuine candidness and honest approach to what can be such a sensitive subject. She dives into the topic of Biblical womanhood with refreshing purposefulness, emphasizing that no matter in what stage of life a woman might find herself, God has good plans for her to walk in that are meaningful. McCulley's writing is laugh-out-loud humerous at times and also extremely heartfelt as she writes of her own life and the struggle that women face as they wait for marriage and family. I also found very helpful insights for married individuals on what not to say to single women when they are trying to help them. I highly recommend this book. There is not another one on the market like this! Enjoy!

As a lay grief counselor for my church I found it an excellent rsource. |
| Piper, John |
What's The Difference |
I was very impressed by this small booklet. Piper goes through this controversial issue and lays down a solid framework for understanding Biblical manhood and womenhood. He avoids some of the extremes that we find in our society (ie. outright feminism or outright male domination and abuse) and gives some great practical advise on the fundamental differences between the two sexes.

Wide My World, Narrow My Bed |
This is a fabulous book. I picked this book for a book report, because I thought I would be able to disagree with what the author would say. I was so wrong! I expected the book to be all about singleness and being called to singlness, but it is much more focused on living an abundant life in God! I highly recommend this book to anyone regardless of your marital status!
