The Friendships of Women |
In 1987 the first edition of The Friendships of Women was released. The response was overwhelming. Women wrote, saying Dee had touched a need so deep, and had helped them to understand the relationships that were so important to them. They bought copies of the book for friends and relatives. Hundreds of thousands studied the book in small groups.
In 1995 The Friendships of Women Workbook was released for those who wanted to study this topic in greater depth. This workbook contained everything women needed: the complete text of The Friendships of Women, in-depth questions, action assignments, and other resources. This too met with overwhelming success.
This tenth anniversary edition has been updated and revised. It has been written for your personal reading or gift giving. In addition, personal or small group Bible study questions have been added at the close of each chapter. If you are about to embark on a small group study, your questions may be: Should the members in my small group buy this book or The Friendships of Women Workbook? The following chart will help you decide:

Women Leaving the Workplace |
I enjoyed this book very much. I am considering becoming a stay at home mom. I bought this book and a non-christian book. They were both helpful. I was most inspired by reading what I considered to be God inspired Bible based information. I also like it that his stories were real and not intended to sugar coat the experience. I am making plans to resign my job soon with Gods direction. A bonus of this book to me is the emphasis on Godly managed finances.

Lies Women Believe |
The lies Christian women believe are at the root of their struggles. In Lies Women Believe, Nancy Leigh DeMoss exposes areas of deception common to many Christian women -- lies about God, sin, priorities, marriage and family, emotions, and more. She deals honestly with women's delusions and illusions and then gently leads them to the truth of God's word that leads to true freedom.

Mothers today are so harried and over-committed that their priorities are all out of whack. What they need is to be refreshed by God's vision for motherhood. Sharon Jaynes, President of The Proverbs 31 Ministry, offers women the opportunity to be encouraged that motherhood is a high and holy calling of Almighty God. She methodically teaches women how to focus on becoming the mother of the Proverbs 31 whose children will one day rise up and bless her. Through the creative and handy use of the acronym B.L.E.S.S.E.D., Sharon provides mothers the practical suggestions and loving encouragement that is surely needed. |

Feminine Appeal |
This book is amazing! When I first started to read the book I thought that maybe the book was more geared towards the Christian woman who is a wife or mother rather than to a single like myself. Although Mahaney does talk directly to the "wife" and "mother" the insights of how to live godly are invaluable for every woman longing to live in a Christ-like way.
I will also go as far as to say that this book changed my life. The book opens up scripture and reveals the truth of godly living as what it is meant to be lived.
This book should be in every church library and on every woman's bedside table! An excellent read and a heart revealing message needed for every woman whose first love is Christ.

A controversy of major proportions has spread through the church. Recent generations bear witness to the rise of "evangelical feminism"a movement that has had a profound impact on all of life, challenging some of our basic Christian beliefs. In this new edition of an influential and award-winning best-seller, more than twenty men and women have committed their talents to produce the most thorough response yet to this modern movement. Combining systematic argumentation with popular application, this volume deals with all of the main passages of Scripture brought forward in this controversy regarding gender-based role differences.
Anyone concerned with the fundamental question of the proper relationship between men and women in home, church, and society will want to read this book. New preface included.

How to Become Your Husbands Best Friend |
How can you keep the spark going in your marriage long after the honeymoon? How can you get beneath the rational exterior that often keeps your spouse from dealing with his feelings? You want to be your husband's best friend. But sometimes there's a gulf in understanding that keeps the two of you from being as close as you ought to be. How to Become Your Husband's Best Friend will help you successfully take the initiative to bridge that gap. These four brief chapters excerpted from For Better or for Best deal with the real problems that can hinder you from the kind of marriage you want: * What it means to really be "a couple." This chapter includes an exercise for profiling personalities. * How a feeling-oriented wife can communicate with her reason-oriented husband. * How you can cultivate responses of affection instead of just hoping they will "happen." * How to show appreciation to your spouse and receive it in return.

And then I Had Kids |
Susan Alexander Yates is an author who has truly "been there." When her twin daughters were born, they joined siblings ages two, four, and seven. Through the challenges of raising those five young children, Susan realized the need for an honest, practical book that helps parents through that time of life. This new edition of the best-selling And Then I Had Kids contains guidance for dealing with common struggles such as discipline, priorities, and fatigue. Susan is honest about the frustrations of parenting, yet encourages parents through her own experiences. She offers a biblical perspective on family life, inspiring mothers (and fathers!) to create a loving atmosphere, find good role models, and shape a Christian home.
